The Demand Planner, Gourmet is the owner of the forecast and is responsible deliver a signed-off demand plan at the regional level.  The role requires challenging and validating the sales inputs, statistical forecasts, and import management. He/she is also in charge to make sure the allocation decisions made in the S&OP are reflected in the demand plan.  The Demand Planner then publishes these requirements into a short and long-term plan to the central supply planning team on a monthly cycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with commercial function to enrich forecast
  • Ensure allocation decisions from S&OP are reflected in demand plans
  • Ensure proper execution of demand planning processes
  • Ensure overall consistency or gaps understanding between forecasts, budgets and prior year actuals and managing the portfolio mix (top down and bottom-up expectations)
  • Apply demand shaping decisions from S&OP when there are supply constraints or to fill available capacity
  • Drives towards continuous improvement and identify improvement projects within the demand planning scope
  • Prepare content for demand validation meeting for the overall sign-off with Sales VP
  • Reach consensus and alignment to deliver a signed-off demand
  • Be the single point of contact for Gourmet demand plan and communicate, interact and support cross-functional stakeholders
  • Publish and present forecasts reports and KPI at different levels (BU, customer, by product family)
  • US/Canada Gourmet Business Unit
  • Includes imports


About you:


  • 5+ years relevant work experience in a planning role
  • Forecast system knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • APICS certification
  • English
  • SAP BO Analyzer, Business Warehouse experience
