Operator II (2nd/3rd Shift)

The Operator II operates production machinery that shapes and deposits products according to published schedules. Ensure the quality of the products by enforcing SQF (food safety), GMP (general manufacturing practices), and Quality policy, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform the responsibilities of an Operator I including set up, operation, and maintenance of various machinery and equipment to ensure standards are met or exceeded, as needed
- Perform the responsibilities of Line Worker and Mixer Attendant, as needed
- Complete training for Operator I, Line Worker, Mixer attendant and General Labor positions as required
- Comply with all company and department specific quality, safety, FSSC, and GMP policies and procedures.
- Follow scheduling requirements on a daily basis.
- Complete basic trouble shooting of equipment
- Perform additional quality checks on the Machine with appearance and shape of product
- Enter performing confirmations and shift information into SAP
- Communicate KPI metrics at shift change; Rate, Remelt generation, Down time
- Perform preventative maintenance, small repairs and/or improvements to the Machine
- Perform other assignments as directed.
About you:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Two (2) years of Operator I experience or Three (3) years of manufacturing required
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PLC control panels, LX and Maintenance Work preferred
- Forklift certification required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, SQF, and GMP rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to use scales and have general math skills in percentages, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
