Job Description
 
The National Account Manager for chain accounts is a strategic sales professional who builds and manages relationships with large QSR’s, and multi-location clients, such as restaurant or bakery & confection chains. Key responsibilities include developing annual business plans, executing sales programs, influencing product use within chain standards, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with both the client's and the company's internal teams to meet and exceed sales goals. This role represents the entire range of company brands and products under chocolate, compounds, cocoa and inclusions, to service our customers to penetrate the market using existing and new product innovations. 
 
The role offered is to bring our expertise in the industry to support, maintain and grow new relationships within and outside our customer base, influencing functions within the customer’s organization in collaboration with procurement, R&D, quality operations to drive a preference for Barry Callebaut products. The role will be responsible for a book of business with revenue/volume targets and profitability, to go along with growth of new relationships of potential customers and footprint in the market.
 
Responsibilities
 
•    Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual business plans and sales strategies for national chain accounts.
•    Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, high-level relationships with key personnel at national and regional chains, including executives, operations, and culinary teams.
•    Program Execution: Sell and execute national and regional sales, promotional, and marketing programs tailored to multi-unit accounts.
•    Business Development: Drive growth by identifying opportunities to expand product distribution and usage, sometimes by getting products specified into new builds or remodels.
•    Collaboration: Work with internal teams ( R&D, specialties and regional sales), distributors, and rep partners to ensure the flawless execution of sales plans and product rollouts.
•    Performance Management: Track sales results, manage budgets, and analyze market data to achieve sales targets and maximize ROI. 

 

Qualifications
 
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
•    English (full proficiency). Spanish or any other language a plus  
•    Chocolate industry, sweet ingredients, desserts, or bakery knowledge is preferred
•    Proven track record in commercial foodservice chain account management 
•    5-7 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, R&D
•    Strong Segment insight (market, consumer, customer, retail) is a must.
•    Entrepreneurial Spirit
