The Manager, In Store Bakery plans and implements In Store Bakery sales to major accounts for a geographic region where cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and account management skills are critical.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Develop territory In Store Bakery sales plan aligned with annual brand business plans and region objectives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISB cycle planning, LTO opportunities, ideation and planning time frames
  • Develop effective relationships with key In Store accounts to drive ISB growth volume via Direct Business, Co-Manufacturers or supply channels
  • Incorporate and maintain effective specialized ISB broker network  
  • Strong knowledge of differentiating Seasonal Calendar requirements for placement opportunities. 
  • Research new leads and targets for market development via Grocery Bakeries, ISB Suppliers and Bakery Manufacturing
  • Secure and lead Ideation sessions for applications and apply creative decorations ideations
  • Maximize contribution margin according to established goals with aggressive price and promotion management, contract management, monitoring/assisting with A/R balances, clearing deductions, production and supply chain resolutions, and new product development projects
  • Create and deliver sales presentations, business reviews, and product recommendations effectively
  • Thorough knowledge and capitalization of ISB trends
  • Creative and practical incorporation of the BC portfolio specific for Grocery and Behind-the-counter applications
  • Strong relationships and familiarity within the ISB sector
  • Ensure that a high professional level of customer service is maintained via resolution of complaints, troubleshooting product supply chain problems, client visits, industry networking, participating in trade shows, gourmet chocolate training to customers sales network, etc
  • Experienced creativity with new items and LTO overstock usage including decorating and demonstrations
  • Knowledgeable in Display placements, parameters and store opening needs
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities and industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets with the In Store Bakeries, Distribution network and Co-Manufacturing Industrial Bakeries

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years specializing within the chocolate and pastry In Store Bakery sector of grocery and store chains
  • Proven creativity in prospecting, opening and growing Grocery and In Store Bakery account base
  • Business acumen and demonstrated quantitative skills with strong communication skills
  • Exercise ability to work independently with professional conduct and sound judgment in all related areas
  • Experience in navigating and proactively participating with ISB seasonal calendars and planning cycles
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of product decorating and case placement displays for optimal effect
  • Has proficiency in sales and full knowledge of the product line and its applications
  • Impact and Influence – builds support for ideas, adjusts approach and style to suit customer audience
  • Understand the organizational functions and work well within our standard of excellence
  • Special In Store Bakery Knowledge Expertise, Flexibility – mastery of the gourmet ISB market body of job-related knowledge and adapts well and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals, Brokers or groups
  • Self-confidence, Relationship Building – believe in your capability to accomplish sales while building or maintaining friendly warm relationships with customers
  • Ability to create and decorate products in person to show ease and item flexibility in order to aid sales growth
