About the Role
The Director, Strategic Total Rewards Partner Americas & Commercial, is responsible for developing and leading and implementing the total rewards strategy and agenda across the Americas region* and Commercial (Sales) areas globally, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and market competitiveness, as well as with Global Total Rewards strategy and policies. This role will oversee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs for the areas in scope, to attract, retain, and engage top talent while driving efficiency, equity, and compliance across multiple countries.
Job Responsibilities Include
Total Rewards Strategy & Leadership
- Design and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy that aligns with business priorities, talent acquisition, and retention goals across Americas and Commercial (Sales) areas globally.
- Partner with global HR and leadership teams to ensure consistency and alignment with global total rewards frameworks while addressing local market needs.
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends, market best practices, and emerging regulations in compensation, benefits, and recognition.
- Lead change management initiatives related to compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
Compensation & Benefits Management
- Ensure appropriateness of base salary structures, incentive programs, benefits etc. in compliance with local labor laws.
- Conduct market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure competitive pay positioning and internal equity.
- Oversee benefits strategy, design, and administration across multiple countries in Americas, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and optimizing employee offerings.
- Drive pay-for-performance initiatives, including annual salary review, bonus plans, and retention incentives.
- Manage M&A-related total rewards integration for new business acquisitions in the region.
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
- Leverage HR data analytics to assess the impact of total rewards programs on employee engagement, performance, and retention within the region and global business area of responsibility.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance total rewards effectiveness for areas of responsibility.
- Prepare and present regional compensation and benefits reports for leadership reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to HR business partners, finance, and leadership within area of responsibility on total rewards matters.
- Manage external relationships with compensation consultants, benefits providers, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Coach area and/or local HR understanding of reward principles, so they can execute reward interventions autonomously, appropriately and accurately
About You
- BA, BS, MA or MBA with a preferred focus on human resources management
- Proven professional experience of at least 10 years in human resources management, specialized in a compensation and benefits leadership role, in a matrix organization with a global total rewards setup
- Good understanding of total compensation practices, proven track record in harmonizing compensation practices in global matrix organizations
- Strong expertise in Americas markets (North America – United States, Canada, Mexico – and Latin America)
- Deep understanding of job architecture, pay equity, incentive design, and benefits strategy.
- Experience with HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors) and data analytics tools, with the ability to identify and implement digital solutions and drive data-based insights and decisions.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact. Proven ability to partner across HR, Finance, IT, and business units to ensure smooth integration and alignment of global processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

- Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to draw insights and conclusions from data

• Salary Range of $160,000 - $190,000, depending on factors such as experience and location, plus annual bonus and our comprehensive benefits package
