Under the direction of the Vice President Cocoa NA  the OSCO Director Cocoa NA will lead all activities related to Operations; Supply Chain: Central Planning, Import/Export, and Material Management for the Cocoa BU. Be responsible for “Plan, Make and Deliver”, including all manufacturing processes in NA.  The main goal is to build a high performing team as evidenced by regularly exceeding agreed performance targets.
 

The Osco Director Cocoa NA  will,  Within the Global Cocoa OSCO strategy &  linked to the priorities of the region NA, plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control all cocoa operations within NA, in order to meet short and long-term operational objectives, while complying with customer requirements, rules, laws, and regulations.
 

Key responsibilities include:
 

  • Be responsible for Plan, Make, and Deliver, including all food manufacturing processes, production and capacity planning, and finished product quality. Also ensure that yearly targets are achieved
  • Design & Maintain the optimal Supply Chain Organization for Cocoa NA: Lead both Central & local planning organization towards a high performing unit
  • Work closely with other regions or functions, e.g. Cocoa Asia, Central Planning, to establish and ensure streamlined processes and effective decision making for interregional cocoa product flows related to NA
  • Manage and support Site Manager Eddystone; General Manager Mexico; Central Planning Manager; Import & Export Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager OSCO
  • With Finance, manage the CAPEX planning process to drive approval of specific projects, resource allocation and target-setting for individual projects for Cocoa NA.
  • Coordinate regional Engineering with Chocolate Organization; and create a technical continuous improvement organization in line with corporate.
  • Continue to deliver Maintenance Best Practices to improve reliability and optimize assets.
  • Drive Performance Improvement Programs aimed at optimizing OEE, Yields, Productivity and Energy usage in line with corporate objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate management reporting of operations metrics.
  • Ensure that QEHS policies, standards and codes of practice are fully adhered to in every facility and that safety and quality continue to be at the core of the culture. Serve as the senior ambassador of a ‘food safety and people safety’ focused culture and tirelessly promote efforts for ensuring both.
  • Create succession and talent management plans, and manage the recruitment and retention of regions OSCO resources.
  • Travel requirements: Up to 2 weeks a month; Globally

 

About you:
 

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Typically in Economics/Engineering or Food science
  • Fluent in English
  • Good knowledge on Cocoa Operations & Supply Chain
  • 10 Years plus experience in Operations AND Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of Lean Methodology - mindset
  • Experience with Sales & Operational planning
  • Excellent global stakeholder management requirement
  • Excellent communication skills
