The Dairy Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for the management and execution of day-to-day activities related to the sourcing of dairy ingredients for North America. This role offers exposure to different internal stakeholders and requires excellent communication skills to ensure smooth coordination with other departments.  

 

Key responsibilities include: 

●         Responsible for SAP contract management, supplier shipment coordination, accounts payable monitoring, and follow up and all related activities under the dairy sourcing support

●         Work with Regional/Global Quality and Master Data groups on approvals and re-approvals of dairy suppliers and materials

●         Collaborate with local planners to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of dairy products

●         Build and maintain relationships with local planning and operations to ensure consistent supply to production facilities in North America

●         Act as the liaison between dairy sourcing and other functions to ensure all daily operational tasks related to dairy are accurately and efficiently completed

●         Work with Accounts Payable team ensuring suppliers are paid on a timely basis and working capital goals are met

●         Resolve invoice discrepancies between all involved parties

●         Assist with supply strategy development, project and physical position management and reporting

●         Maximize supply chain network to best support the business

●         Coordinate with import/exports specialists to ensure all shipments are customs cleared timely and reach their destination

●         Assist in new dairy supplier approvals/re-approvals, as well as maintain supplier documentation through supplier portal

●         Manage logistic providers in coordination with Customer requirements and sourcing targets

 

About you:

 

●         Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or Food Science strongly preferred

●         Fluency in English language; additional Spanish skills highly desired

●         Willingness to initiate phone or video calls to colleagues and suppliers

●         Travel requirements: 10% domestic and/or international

●         Valid passport

●         2 -5 years of experience in food manufacturing or commodities

●         Proficiency in Excel and SAP

●         Understanding of international trade terms and logistics

●         Excellent ability in the following areas: Communication (oral and written), organization, and analytical skills

●         Ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

●         Strong ability to interact with multidisciplinary team

●         Forward thinking, ability to notice efficiencies and weaknesses
