Assistant Chef, Academy

The Academy Assistant Technical Advisor/Chef will support Sales and Marketing through strategic campaigns and assist the management of the Academy classes. Under the direction of the Head of the Chocolate Academy, this role will participate in a wide range of activities to further push the boundaries of Barry Callebaut chocolate. In addition, this role will be a contributor in growing the business and promoting brand awareness.  
 

Key responsibilities include: 

●    The Chocolate Assistant Academy Chef is responsible for representing the Academy and its brands through execution  under the guidance of the Head of Academy of demonstrations, courses and customer sessions. 
●    Support Sales and Marketing through strategic campaigns and projects to aid in increasing sales volumes, profitability and brand awareness. 
●    Take ownership in creating, innovating, implementing and communicating specific customer segment product development applications.
●    Ensure that the Academy and it’s tools are maintained to the best possible level during activity
●    Support customer questions and host sessions to promote implementation of product usage.
●    Participate in the Academy maintenance and cleanliness.
●    Be able to work and behave professionally with Guest Chefs/ Academy customers and speak intelligently about Chocolate, Pastry and Barry Callebaut.

About you:

●    4+ years’ experience as a chef working in pastry and chocolate internationally and domestic
●    Strong Pastry and chocolate skills 
●    Strong communicator 
●    English Speaking-Fluent
●    Team oriented with the ability to lead other towards a common goal
