Plant Engineer

Key Responsbilities
- Coordinate work within production plans. Liaise with teams to ensure compatibility with exisiting processes and support training.
- Responsible for all aspects of assigned project activites, to ensure materials and equipment are avaliable when needed and that all activities are completed to a level with satisfies corporate standards.
- Communicating delays or limitations when known to the rest of the project team to ensure timelines can be adapted if required.
- Responsible for their own safety and that they do not have a negative effect on the safety of those around them when on site.
- To ensure that all works are left only in a safe condition to ensure no harm can come to a persons within the Barry Callebaut site and that there is no risk to any processes.
- Maintain records of works caried out ensuring that the revelent on site records are updated when changes.
- To ensure all site services, service contracts calibrations are up to date and meeting national regulations/standards.
About you
- Must have ONC/HNC/NVQ Qualification mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- 17th/18th edition preferable.
- Time served or apprentice trained.
- Pneumatic experience
- Must be computer literate
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, automation and quality control processes including HACCP principles within a food manufacturing environment.
- Must have experience carrying out industrial electrical and mechanical installations, fault finding and repair.
- Experience in world class manufacturing standards (5s, Gemba, GMP)
- Health & Safety, spotting & reporting hazards, near misses and behavioural safety.
- Working with SOP's, from creation to signing off competency levels.
- Leading root cause analysis activity to eliminate recurring faults and drive improvements.
- Developing a planned maintenance schedule & completing activity in a SMART way.
- Contractor management, ensuring all work permits are completed and site rules are adhered to
- Audits, ensuring all paperwork is compliant and the department is audit ready. Internal and external audits
- HACCP qualification.

Experience of working on VFFM equipment.

Experienced working with dry powders and blends.

Iosh/nebosh H&S preferable.

Work with little supervision using own initiative within the parameters of the role
