Job summary:

The Central forecasting analyst is responsible for the statistical baseline forecast for all regions and BU’s. The role will consist primarily in preparing the optimum statistical forecast, assess the accuracy and hand it over to the business for enrichment and validation. This position is applicable to young talents who hold a Bachelor’s Degree preferably with a Master’s Degree in scientific or technical area complimented with 4 to 5 years in Supply Chain Planning and analytics. Position will be based in our Supply Chain Center of Expertise in Lodz but high mobility within Europe is required during the first 6 month for onboarding and business knowledge transfer



Generic responsibilities:

  • Perform and analyze monthly statistical forecast for all regions and BU’s.
  • Hand-over of optimum statistical forecast and associated analysis to regional demand planners.
  • Maintenance of ABC/XYZ segmentation and best-fit forecasting models.
  • Evaluate forecast accuracy through back testing / exposed forecast per BU, regions, segments.
  • Guidance of the process towards the regions in terms of time keeping throughout the month.
  • Link to financial planning to reconcile global demand with budget volume.
  • Support in cascading top-down targets towards regional organizations.
  • Monitor automatic re-alignments and take required actions to optimize data cleansing (in close contact with regions)
  • Support to regional demand planners related reporting and analysis.
  • Testing and analyzing new functionality, reports, data.

Analytics & Continuous improvement:

  • Evaluate forecast accuracy through back testing / exposed forecast per BU, regions, segments
  • Assess accuracy of enrichments made in the regions.
  • Implement improvements in statistical forecasting and/or optimize forecast by fine tuning focuses areas of sales enrichments.
  • Provide estimate of Forecast Accuracy increase related to initiated improvements.
  • Perform analysis on portfolio complexity and make proposals to the business on portfolio complexity reduction.
  • Setup and give analytics training towards regions.


  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in science or technical area.
  • APICS, Supply Chain certification is a plus.
  • 4 to 5 years in Supply Chain planning and analytics.
  • Advanced understanding of demand planning, basic to advance understanding of supply planning, capacity planning and inventory management is a plus.
  • Basic to advanced working knowledge of SAP, any demand planning suite, reporting and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, SAP analytics Cloud …).
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Proficient with the MS Office programs.
  • Proactive mindset and driven for results.
  • Collaboration – ability to work with diverse, cross-functional and cross-regional stake holders and team members.
  • Able to work with remote teams and in an international environment.
  • Critical thinking - Problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Analytical skills – Calculations, formulas, and data representations.
  • Analytical Curiosity – Comfortable with and enjoys working in very detailed, data intense environment.
  • Written, visual and verbal communication skills.
