ABOUT THE ROLE


This position Local Quality Manager is in charge of the local Quality function of the plant. The Quality Manager ensures that standards are implemented and adhered to, regulatory compliance  achieved,  and this in terms of day-to-day quality management, ensuring and customer expectations are met. Driving continuous improvement is a key activity in this role, developing and driving improvement initiatives and ensuring quality is embedded in projects and new development, are key activities in this role.

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE

 

  • Manufacturing Excellence Management
    • Support the implementation, development and coaching of companies’ programs on  work processes and change management
    • Lead site process of target setting and deployment (hoshin planning)
    • Generate intelligence to support actions that continuously improve site performance across the balanced scorecard
    • Play a leading role on developing and deploying/adoption of manufacturing digital applications ( MES, POKA and other site digital initiatives in line with I4.0 strategy).
    • Deploy regular self-assessment using BC tools – and build action plan to close gaps versus site Master Plan
    • Promote internal and external benchmark exercises, looking for opportunities to improve local site performance

 

  • Process Technology Management
    • Monitor the performance by tracking relevant KPIs and take relevant actions when and as required
    • Initiate and lead quality-related improvement programs using root cause problem-solving tools
    • Carry out trend analysis and statistical data review to develop improvement plans
    • Follow up corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of implemented measures.
    • Contribute to cost and efficiency improvement activities, taking into account quality requirements

 

    • Supports Site Priorities, (continus improuvement, projects, R&D, …)
      • E2E deployment/adoption of new Products (F-Trials) and Packaging changes/additions
      • Drives OEE improvements in Site manufacturing processes
      • Responsible to represent the Site for the LPC (Local Product Committee)
      • Supports the Plant in leading new product management, SAP Updates & Data Integrity
      • Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for R&D Updates & Escalations & Regional/Global Engineering support

 

    • Delivers Performance Improvements in Building & Improving Process Capabilities
      • Understands the site's process capabilities to deliver product vertical ramp-ups and process improvements
      • Takes the Losses identified to develop & improve process capability (CpK)
      • Analyses challenges and/or gaps in process to improve process capabilities to reduce product variation
      • Drives the process improvements to increase First Time Right, Yields and reduce Rejected products & MUV

 

    • Manages the Direction & Develops our Technical Talent
      • Aligns the Process Engineers priorities to deliver the Plant process objectives & supports operations
      • Responsible to develop the SOPA’s content
      • Seen as the Senior Process Technologist at the Site

ABOUT YOU

 

  • Master Degree in industrial Engineering, in Food Science/Food Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of practical experience manufacturing excellence and process technology
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Fluent in English and local language, additional languages an asset
