This position is responsible for melting all types of butter, oil, liquor and rework. The Melting Operator will also be trained on mixing, shipping and / or receiving. The Melting operator ensures food and employee safety in their daily routine.
 
Key responsibilities include: 

 

•    Sets up room for melting and starts up equipment at the beginning of the shift if necessary.
•    Validates which product to melt (Cocoa Liquor, Butter, Coconut Butter, or rework) and ensures it goes to the correct tank.
•    Observes process to assure continuous production flow and coordinates tank scales.
•    Enters ingredients used into SAP.
•    Maintains housekeeping in the work area and fills the MSS form.
•    Communicates production information to the incoming Shift Supervisor and crew members.
•    Works safely at all times, following procedures, wearing PPE, and using proper safety equipment.
•    Performs daily equipment quality and safety inspections and completes required checklists.
•    Learns and assists with shipping/receiving liquid loads, drums, and totes as needed.
•    Required to learn and cover mixing positions and assist in other areas as needed.
•    Follows Barry Callebaut GMPs and HACCP programs.
•    Ensures compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.
 
About you:

 

•    High school diploma.
•    Experience in a food manufacturing environment an asset.
•    Hoist operator training.
•    Lift Truck Certification.
