Inventory Coordinator - SAP Superuser

About the role
This position will be responsible for improving site profitability and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Inventory Coordinator/SAP Super User will provide reporting, conducting root cause analysis and take action on production efficiency, waste, rework and spare parts. Due to its materiality and its significant impact to the results, a major emphasis should be dedicated to material Usage. This role will also assist in the creation and goods receipt of technical PO’s. The Inventory Coordinator/SAP Super User is cognizant and understanding of food and employee safety and ensures application in their daily functions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished products.
- Report and explain Material Usage Variances.
- Leader of Rework and Blocked Stock Action team.
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting on production efficiency.
- Participate in waste reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate the movement of all raw materials for production.
- Direct/Supervise lift truck operators that support the production lines.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Process Controlling and Quality on cost savings opportunities.
- Daily balancing of production process orders.
- Creating purchase orders and goods receipts for warehouse.
- Provide training assistance and procedures for operations staff.
- Monthly reconcile of the outside warehouse, keep and track history by month.
- Monthly review of all inventory adjustments, positive and negative. Performing a deep dive into the top issues from the previous month to help drive change.
- Partner with Finance on MUV and Adjustments for the month, can be rolled into the one above.
- Site SAP expert for operations processes and audits the accuracy of these activities and retrains as necessary.
- Act as backup for logistics coordinator
- Ensure site meets Barry Callebaut, supplier and customer traceability standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Meets/exceeds requirements for food and employee safety.
About you
- College Diploma – Finance/Business program.
- Strong management accounting background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- SAP – demonstrated experience using SAP.
- Strong technical abilities (Excel, Access, Power Point, Lotus Notes).
- Strong presentation & communication skills.
- Accurate personality, excellent work ethic.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- May be required to travel from time to time.
