About the role:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the end-to-end leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the main distribution center within a logistics network. This role ensures safe, compliant, and highly efficient warehouse operations supporting manufacturing and food distribution operations that consistently deliver superior service to internal and external partners. The manager drives operational excellence across labor, cost and network alignment while optimizing productivity, capacity, and asset utilization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managed inventory accuracy for 40,000 pallets with an inventory value of approximately $150M.
- Led warehouse operations through 6 direct reports and a workforce of 60 employees.
- Owned and managed site P&L performance, driving cost control and operational efficiency.
- Coordinated employee training, development, and performance management initiatives.
- Administered disciplinary actions and ensured compliance with company policies.
- Maintained and enforced safety programs, GMP requirements, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Monitored KPI performance and implemented continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals.
- Oversaw inventory control processes, including cycle counts, variance investigations, and semi-annual physical inventories.
- Ensured SAP transaction accuracy for inventory movements, material disposition, and data integrity.
- Supervised inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring shipment accuracy and on-time delivery performance.
- Optimized warehouse space utilization and maintained shipment documentation and inventory records.
- Coordinated cross-functional activities with Production, Quality, Transportation, and Finance teams.
- Ensured warehouse operations met AIB/BRC standards for cleanliness, food safety, and quality compliance.
- Coached supervisors and team leads while fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, employee engagement, and service excellence (OTIF).
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or operations leadership.
- 4+ years of management experience within large, high-volume distribution center environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to drive change and manage complex operations.
- Experience managing food-grade warehouses and 24/7 operational environments.
- Advanced knowledge of transportation operations, including TL, LTL, and multi-stop distribution networks.
- Proficiency in Oracle Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing root cause analysis methodologies.
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, KPI management, and operational excellence.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a proven ability to coach teams, influence stakeholders, and build strong relationships across the organization.
