The Barry Callebaut local truck driver will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of all Barry Callebaut
goods throughout the Barry Callebaut network. This is a private fleet operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safety compliance- Following all safety regulations related to truck operation, including all regulations
concerning local, state and federal regulations - Driving-To safely transport Barry Callebaut materials from within your working state. This would include to
and from any Barry Callebaut manufacturing sites, warehouses and vendors in a professional manor - Ensure accuracy of all Bill Of Ladings, by ensuring that products are of and for Barry Callebaut and the
accuracy of same and pick-up and delivery as instructed. - Conduct Pre/Post trip inspections-Are mandatory for commercial motor vehicle drivers, requiring them to
check key components like service brakes, parking brakes, steering mechanism, lights, tires, horns,
windshield wipers, rear-vision mirrors, and coupling devices before operating the vehicle, ensuring the
vehicle is in safe working order - Route Planning- Familiarizing oneself with routes, navigating through different areas, and adjusting to
changing traffic conditions - Documentation-Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and other necessary paperwork
- Customer service-Interacting with customers at delivery points, ensuring timely deliveries and the utmost
professionalism - FMCSA HOS- Driver must know, understand and practice all Hour Of service rules and regulations for North
America
About you:
- Understanding North American Traffic laws/DOT regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years old (DOT requirement)
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable truck driving / commercial driving experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Reefer experience
- CDL Class A -Clean driving record, with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 2 years
- CDL Class A
- Working knowledge of electronic logging devices for DOT FMCSA rules governing the Hours Of Service
- Listening and oral communication skills, with the ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Time and Priority Management skills, required
