About the role:

The Sample Room Clerk will be responsible for working with the team on the sampling process according to orders and making sure they are shipped out on time.  This position entails focus and attention to detail and can be both physically and mentally challenging at times.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Picking and Packing of samples per request requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs unassisted throughout the day

  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, stand, squat, kneel & reach for periods of time.

  • Create FedEx shipments

  • Create sample orders using SAP

  • Use of Salesforce for printing and closing orders

  • Print/pull labels using Word

  • Ability to adhere to GMPs and all other food safety requirements




  • High school or GED equivalent

  • Computer & typing skills a must (SAP, Salesforce, Word, Google) 

  • Must have fundamental math skills


Work Experience:


  • Two to three years experience in the food industry / clean room / packaging is a plus.

  • Experience with GMP and sanitation principles a plus is helpful

  • Excellent written / oral communication skills


Additional Requirements:


  • Must have safety footwear

  • Must wear long sleeved shirts & hair net.  Lab coat & gloves required when packing

  • No scents, nail polish or jewelry

  • Must be able to work as a team as well as independently.

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and can follow directions

  • Must be dedicated, take initiative and be adaptabile
