About the role: 

As a Gourmet Sales Manager, you will be the face of Barry Callebaut in Serbia, driving growth by managing distributors, acquiring new clients, and promoting our premium chocolate solutions to gourmet professionals. You will play a key role in shaping our market presence, building strong customer relationships, and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
Please note: This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave, with a maximum duration of up to 1-1.5 years

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote Barry Callebaut’s value proposition to customers and partners.
  • Manage and develop relationships with distributors and business partners.
  • Acquire new clients and restructure distribution channels by brand and region.
  • Conduct regular customer visits (confectioners, bakeries, restaurants, hotels).
  • Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery terms within authority limits.
  • Coordinate trade marketing and technical activities with customers/distributors.
  • Build Chef-to-Chef relationships and engage with Chef Associations.
  • Develop and execute sales plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing to develop and implement strategies.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Sales & Marketing.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, preferably in FMCG or food industry.
  • Strong commercial skills: presenting, negotiating, and relationship-building.
  • Knowledge of the chocolate/gourmet industry is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Serbian (written and spoken).
  • Self-motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
  • High emotional intelligence and professional conduct.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Financial acumen and impactful presentation abilities.
