About the role:

As a Gourmet Sales Director SEE, you will lead and oversee the Gourmet sales team in South East Europe (SEE). You will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing distributors, and maintaining strong relationships with key customers in the region. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic plans to increase volume and margin while ensuring Barry Callebaut’s position as a trusted partner in the Gourmet segment.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and make a significant impact on the company’s business objectives in the region.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and lead the country sales teams in the SEE region.

  • Develop strategic plans and ensure their successful execution to increase sales volume and margin.

  • Set up efficient distributor networks in each country to promote and sell Barry Callebaut’s portfolio.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Identify new business opportunities and proactively expand the customer base.

  • Monitor competitive threats and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Organize product launches, seminars, and marketing activities to promote Barry Callebaut’s offerings.

  • Negotiate contracts and ensure proactive portfolio management.

  • Collaborate with internal departments (Demand Planning, Marketing, R&D, Customer Care) to deliver seamless service.

  • Understand customer markets and create bespoke development plans to drive growth.

  • Lead initiatives to introduce new products and projects to customers.

  • Provide accurate volume and financial forecasts in collaboration with Demand Planning.

     

About you:

  • We are looking for an experienced sales leader with a passion for building strong customer relationships and achieving results.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years in the food industry, with vast leadership experience.

  • Proven track record in sales success and distributor management.

  • Strong business understanding and market knowledge of the food industry.

  • Fluent in English (written and oral).

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead a team effectively.
