About the role:

In Barry Callebaut, growth doesn’t happen by accident, it’s designed.
As our Business Development Manager for the SEE region, you won’t just be selling chocolate. You’ll be shaping markets, opening new doors, and turning technical know‑how into commercial advantage.
You’ll explore new business landscapes, translate insights into opportunities, and partner with sales leaders across SEE to build a stronger, smarter, more competitive region.
This isn’t a typical role. it’s a role where your understanding of chocolate as a product, a process and a craft truly matters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and executing a growth strategy that turns potential into performance.
  • Understanding customers on a deeper level — not only what they buy, but why they buy it.
  • Turning technical chocolate knowledge into compelling commercial stories and solutions.
  • Building long‑term partnerships that strengthen BC’s footprint across SEE.
  • Coaching and elevating the sales community — helping people grow while the region grows.
  • Translating insights into actions: reporting, influencing stakeholders, steering projects.
  • Acting as the first call for complex challenges where business meets technology.

About you:

  • You’re someone who blends strategic thinking, commercial intelligence and technical sensitivity.
  • You understand chocolate not just as an industry but as a system: ingredient, process, application, behavior.
  • Have a background in Food Science/Technology, Business, Sales or Marketing.
  • Have an experience in commercial or technical roles within an international environment.
  • Have a confidence in navigating customer discussions, presenting ideas and shaping outcomes.
  • Have a mindset that adapts fast, sees opportunities early and handles complexity with ease.
  • Have an emotional intelligence, the ability to connect, influence, build trust.
  • Have a self‑driven, structured yet creative approach to work.
  • And importantly: you bring practical experience from the chocolate world. Into production, R&D or technical application.
Not theory. Not curiosity. Real exposure that lets you speak the language of our customers and our factories.

We offer:

  • A strategic role in a globally renowned organization.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package tailored to market standards.
  • Collaborative team culture with the freedom to drive innovative projects.

We are committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where people can truly be themselves, grow to their full potential and feel they belong. #oneBC - Diverse People, Sustainable Growth.
