About The Role

  • Provides engineering expertise and technical assistance for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of facilities and equipment, and development and implementation of maintenance procedures and techniques for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant.
  • Join production machineries installation, modification and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all process equipment, utility installations and electrical installations are maintained and running at optimum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include 

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time, as well as GMP compliant.
  • Leads the maintenance team to plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities (for example planned maintenance programs, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions.
  • Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external contractors (for example Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Responsible for preparation & adherence of maintenance BUD for maintenance cost & energy cost. Responsible for the current & next year IP plan preparation & execution plan of same.
  • Ensure all equipment and installation is operational safe and complies with local legal legislation. Contact with energy suppliers and governmental agencies for electrical parts, MPCB, MIDC, W&M
  • Hands on knowledge on the Industrial safety & food safety which helps to provide the support to the respective committee. Ensure that the plant / site is having sufficient measures in place to tackle fire safety incidents. Maintenance & Testing of fire safety equipment, imparting its timely training to Plant Peoples.

  • Projects –
    • Be responsible for new installations, upgrades and modifications of all mechanical, pneumatic and piping systems.
    • Ensure effective cost and schedule controls and prepare progress reports on assigned projects.
    • Initiate & Implement the debottlenecking in the plant.Assist & implement the projects in the plant.IT Dept.
    • Support on the IT related project & support activity

About You 

Education – University degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

        An Electrical Supervisor license will be an additional advantage.

       Experience (type) – around 12 years exposure importantly in below area -

  • Experience in Operation and Maintenance of process equipment & Utilities.
  • Capable of handling project activity from the initiation till the execution & handover independently.
  • Capable of calculating the yearly budget for maintenance & managing to control the same throughout the year.
  • Capable of handling the Electrical & Mechanical maintenance independently.
  • Maintain PM, break down, planning implementation, inventory management
  • Understanding on the FSSC, URSA, Safety, Electrical, GMP, GHP audits.
  • Vendor handling, material procurement & its control to check.

Knowledge or specific business understanding –

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with international and external clients
  • Strong coordination and organizing ability and overall point of view, with the ability to prioritize and proactively complete projects
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
