About the role
- As part of Next Level footprint strategy and supply network optimization, it is predicted that BC will build new Greenfield sites and fit-for-purpose Brownfield projects. BC's ambition is to kick off all these new initiatives fully compliant with the BCOS program, both in terms of organization design and ways of working. The BCOS GF Leader will be responsible for guiding the project team and developing with the local management team the new organization, technical capabilities and deployment of the BCOS work process.
- The critical delivery of the role is on the creation high-performance and fully capable SC organization that achieves Vertical Start-Up (VSU) status and equally drives continuous improvement eliminating losses across the whole value chain, in line with site targets and objectives
Key responsibilities include
- It is expected that the incumbent has extensive experience in implementing lean/TPM programs at blue chip companies and has also experienced initiatives start-ups applying TPM Early Management methodology.
- The incumbent will provide guidance on setting up a project team that has as its end goal the delivery of VSU with assets designed and operated at Autonomous Maintenance Step 3/Progressive Maintenance Step 4 as per BCOS pillar structure. Responsible, with the support of the Plant Manager and Project Team, for producing the project and starting up a master plan with respective start-up targets/objectives, covering SC balanced scorecards across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment.
- In principle fully allocated to GF Site support, but expected to travel for global meetings and site support – 10 to 30%
- Typical deliverables for Brownfield projects and Greenfield start-ups are:
- zero LTA and compliance process safety/people safety standards
- zero quality defects and Cpk (process capability) above 1
- OEE +85%
- compliance to schedule +90%
- Net productivity +4% YOY
- engagement survey +90%
- energy/CO2 reduction 2 to 4% YOY
About you
- Bachelor/Master degree required, preferably in Engineering
- Advanced level of English
- Clear ability to understand business needs, and develop and deploy a strategy to reach business goals
- In-depth expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies, such as TPS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and High-Performance Organization
- Ability to work with ambiguity, breakthrough thinking, keep people accountable and direct others
- Vast experience in the practical implementation of TPM, including the application of the Early Management Pillar
- Experience in senior operations roles – Site Engineer, Plant Management - is seen as a differential for this role
- Places as highest priority the Safety of people, process and product
- Demonstrated ability to influence and facilitate change across the whole organization
- Strong working knowledge of Cultural and Management of Changes
- Extensive software capability including Google Environment, Excel, Word, Minitab (or other statistical software) and MS Projects. Knowledge and experience in the use of SAP ERP systems are seen as desirable skills.
- Exceptional coaching, communication, interpersonal & leadership skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cultural and Management Changes, practitioner of Continuous Improvement methodology such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing essential (Six Sigma seen as a plus)
- Experience in project management and governance systems
- Strong influencing skills, and ability to direct the BCOS program without formal authority over organization leaders.
- Experience in leading areas of Supply Chain, such as Manufacturing Operations, Planning, Logistic/Distribution and Procurement
- Being capable of supporting make-or-buy studies and analysis for the construction of business cases (brownfield and/or greenfield)
