About the job: 

The Technical Advisor manages the pilot lab, sample room and runs the application activities under the guidance of Regional Technical Services Manager and Head of PD. Provides application support to existing and new customers, and occasionally creates new market opportunities. Additionally, this role gives technical training to customers and manages raw material availability in BC studio. Collaborates with Customer R&D and sales to advise customers in application of choice of the right product range. Assist Product Experts in the development of new formulations, management of existing recipes and customer projects. The Technical Advisor gets guidance and support from the Regional Technical Service Manager on more complex activities, ad hoc requests, and issues in the execution of her duties. The Technical Advisor develop and supervise PD Technician; provide guidance and support on more complex activities.

  • Manage and execute pilot lab and BC studio activities as according to project lead time. Monitor the inventory of raw materials and GMP in the pilot lab and BC Studio
  • Drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of pilot lab and BC Studio operating procedures to ensure that experiments and analyses are conducted within established budgets and according to established scientific standards
  • Assist Product Experts and Customer R&D in the development of new formulations and management of customer projects – from theoretical recipe over lab prototypes to industrial product for both internal and external clients.
  • Supervise technicians for daily pilot activities, organize preventive maintenance for lab equipments
  • Jointly analyze with the Product Experts the results obtained in the production of the samples produced in application
  • Coordinate samples preparation in the BC Studio in a timely manner and to meet project specifications
  • Participate road show, iron chef and customer workshop training
  • Manage sample room
  • Support customer projects (mainly focus on PT Ceres)
  • Advise, assist and train all departments as needed on technical issues

 

About you: 

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in Food Science/ Technology, or in Pastry/ Bakeries School
  • 5+ years of experience in product development (Bakery Pastry & B2B in food manufacturing industries experience are preferred)
  • Experience in a product development, strong application knowledge especially in bakery segment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and database management
  • Having experience in leading a small team
  • Fluent Business English is a must
