About the job

Process Engineer will be responsible to oversee key process performance and capability areas within our plant. This role will support manufacturing operations by building and maintaining process and people capabilities, implementing improvement projects, and collaborating with Global Process Excellence and Operational teams.

This role will also contribute to evaluating, recommending, and implementing new process technologies that enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop industrially robust solutions for existing technologies and demonstrate the economic value of new production technologies, considering factors like operability, safety, food safety, morale, energy, throughput, and waste reduction.

  • Establish and maintain global operational process standards, and drive the rollout and monitoring of Process Operating Standards (SOPs, Process routines, etc.) and Process capability across existing installations.

  • Manage data entry and accuracy in SAP for product formulations.

  • Support SKU reduction/rationalization efforts.

  • Identify and implement solutions to reduce waste and rework.

  • Support product transfer and product introduction processes

  • Provide training materials and conduct training sessions within the factory.

  • Provide on-site technical support for day-to-day operations, new line startups, NPIs, and projects.

  • Collaborate with engineering, OT, and digital representatives to implement new technology on the shop floor and drive change management.

  • Work with the regional process excellence team to create and define process standards for installations.

  • Support the deployment of BCOS standards within the factory and contribute to improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to the innovation project funnel from project definition to standard creation.

  • Provide support to Engineering teams and lead the commissioning of new lines and equipment from a process assurance perspective.

  • Manage key stakeholders and partners in a complex environment, both internal and external.

 

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Food, Chemical, Electromechanics), Bioscience Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in chocolate and cocoa production; background in process control is a plus

  • Strong motivation to learn and become a domain expert in production processes

  • Broad technical interest and ability to deliver state-of-the-art solutions

  • Solid understanding of the interaction between product (food science) and machinery (technology)

  • Experience scaling up processes from lab/pilot to industrial production

  • Hands-on manufacturing experience; food or process industry background preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to leverage manufacturing big data for insights and decision-making

  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage

  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and manufacturing-related systems (e.g., CMMS, MES, scheduling tools)

  • Comfortable working with operations leaders and supporting teams on the shop floor

  • Willing to be based in Bandung
