National Account Manager HoReCa and Bakery Chains

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly dynamic and experienced National Account Manager who will be responsible for the growth and profit of specific HoReCa & Bakery Chain Accounts.
As an ambitious, experienced and highly motivated individual you will be able to quickly build relationships with customers and driving growth. Being part of a cross functional team, including The UK Chocolate Academy, R&D & Marketing, you will be supported to maximise innovation and range extension within Chain Accounts, leveraging Barry Callebaut’s expertise and whole product portfolio to drive growth through customer specific concept solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Growing and developing existing customers, together with generating new business
- Understand customer market, capability & position to create joint business plans that drive growth across BC’s product range
- Develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders within the customer including sales, buying, technical, NPD & supply chain
- Produce reports on customer and competitor activity; taking responsibility to share/take action where necessary
- Arrange and manage quarterly business reviews with key customers
- Co-ordinate Trade Marketing activities for key customers
- Contract Management: ensure timely administration of contract bookings and payments including formal follow up with appropriate parties e.g. customer/pricing officer/ credit control
Essential skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level (preferably in a relevant field of study such as business, economics, or food science) with strong planning, organisation, and prioritising skills
- 5+ years FMCG experience managing Chain Accounts
- Experience managing a full P&L
- Outstanding presentation skills
- Strong Account Management Skills and relationship building skills
- Ability to analyse and manipulate data with strong computer literacy across Google, MS (Excel predominately), SAP & Salesforce applications
- Experience of analysing market information and forecasting sales opportunities
- Effective end to end project management

This role requires regular travel (3-4 days per week) and the successful applicant will be expected to attend the Head Office in Banbury either once per week or several times a month (including for team meetings). A full driving licence valid in the UK is therefore a prerequisite.
