Manufacturing Operator
Banbury, OXF, GB, OX16 3UU
As we continue to grow, Barry Callebaut is recruiting for a number of Operator positions within our manufacturing plant in Banbury. These are permanent positions within Barry Callebaut and will work on a rotating shift pattern to run the chocolate process machinery using refining and conching machines in line with the production scheduling plans.
There are various shifts available, but all follow a similar working pattern of two days on (06:45 – 18:45), two days off, three nights on (18:45 – 06:45) and two days off before returning to the two days on again. To accommodate for the shifts, we do offer a generous shift allowance in addition to the hourly rate and a fully comprehensive benefits package, which includes annual leave and a very good pension scheme.
You will be required to work every other weekend in line with the shift pattern and will need to work bank holidays too including the Christmas period. If you work Christmas one year, we will allow you to have this off the following year to ensure everyone has a fair entitlement to the break.
All our operatives receive full training on the machinery, processes, health and safety when they join. This will carry on for the first three months of your employment with us and you will be partnered with an experienced Operative at all times to ensure you have the full support you need to carry out your role. In addition, we have several production lines that we run simultaneously and you will be trained on each one to provide cover across the shift.
