Section 1 - JOB DESCRIPTION

To create and monitor the liquid manufacturing production plans whilst supporting ongoing communication across departments to ensure accurate exchange of information.  Highlight potential risks to production and to drive resolutions, investigate evaluate and respond to situations quickly.  Respond to changing priorities in order to meet customer priorities and deadlines.  To make the daily trade-off between superior customer service at a justifiable production and logistics cost.

    

    

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    

  • Responsible for effectively managing the production plan taking into account all possible bottle necks within the site and issue daily/weekly plans using the site planning systems to meet targeted customer service levels whilst ensuring optimum capacity is utilized
  • Give direction and co-ordinate with Raw Material Planning, Liquid Transport Planning, Manufacturing, Moulding and QA to ensure productions plans are aligned to effectively meet the targeted customer service levels for external and internal customers.
  • Provide the most efficient solution to problems in the short term to order changes, priorities (Liquid vs Solid) and cancellations.
  • Manage short term capacity in order to liaise with Central Planning on constraints and to request back up from sister sites within Europe when needed.
  • Manage plant capacity in order to prevent further bottle necks in the process.
  • Effectively liaise with the commercial organization upon prioritization when required
  • Ensure on time delivery by maintaining close communication with solid planning, transport planning and manufacturing
  • Recording and updating KPI’s and defining actions to meet the defined service levels/ targets
  • Identify and implement improvements within the planning process/systems

    

REQUIRED ACADEMIC & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • You have a degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Business Management or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a supply chain environment is an additional asset. SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Solid problem solving experience and use of associate tools (Lean / Six Sigma)
  • You are
    • analytical attitude and result orientation is characteristic of you

    • You can work under pressure and can deal with setbacks.
    • Recognized interpersonal savvy and communication skills
  • Solid critical thinking skills and a proven ability to demonstrate continuous improvement
