Factory Engineering Manager

We're seeking a proactive and driven leader to coach and develop our maintenance and facilities team. This is an opportunity to take real ownership and accountability while developing both individually and as part of a highly skilled team.
Key responsibilities:
- Align engineering resources with factory strategy
- Ensure planned maintenance is carried out
- Oversee a team of around 24 engineers (+ apprentices); formalise long-term development and succession plans
- Create a structured, accountable environment for maintenance activities
- Manage and track the annual maintenance budget
- Implement Asset Maintenance and TPM meldology to boost OEE and overall performance
- Analyse breakdowns and take proactive steps to prevent them from recurring
- Promote a safety-conscious environment and lead the site's carbon footprint reduction program
- Carry out Opportunity Maintenance on idle equipment
- (Future responsibility) Full Capital Investments and Project Team
Qualifications/skills required:
- Experience in a people management role within a food manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience in Chocolate an advantage
- Experience working in a unionised environment
- Ideally a Degree/Diploma/HNC in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, E&A, Process, Industrial Engineering or similar)
- Proven ability to achieve targets, drive improvements, and manage budgets
- Understanding of factory operations: TPM/Lean, health & safety, employment, quality, and hygiene legislation
