End-User Account Managers are unique within Barry Callebaut and work with a range of end-user clients such as Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers, Ice Cream Parlours, Chocolatiers, Patisseries and Bakeries to further promote our range of gourmet chocolate and premium cocoa products.


We’re delighted to announce that, as our Gourmet Sales Team continues to grow, we are recruiting for an End-User Account Manager on a permanent basis. The position is based close to the Dublin area, in Ireland, and will work closely with our UK Gourmet Sales Team.


End-User Account Managers combine a strong commercial acumen with a technical food background. The role complements those who have practical experience as a Chef, Baker or Chocolatier and have since developed their career into more sales or commercial orientated positions.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop new business opportunities with major distributor’s prospects (Hotels, Restaurants, Ice Cream Parlours, Chocolatiers, Patisseries and Bakeries)
  • Maximise commercial output by promoting the existing range of Gourmet products and introducing new premium products (Specialties and Decorations)
  • Collectively maintain and expand current account sales
  • Expand ranges with a multi-brand approach.
  • Identify technical needs and organise appropriate support with the Chocolate Academy team
  • Working alongside the distributor base and their sales teams to grow their Chocolate business through joint or stand-alone visits.
  • Create bespoke and relevant social networks
  • Follow up with the networks on a regular basis to further promote our products and organise yearly demonstration events.
  • Attend all relevant major Industry and opinion-forming groups.
  • Align strategy and action plan with the UK Trade marketing and the Distributor team to increase sales within the market.
  • Develop new network building mechanisms and ideas to further assist the department with market penetration
  • Collaboratively feedback to the wider team on major trends or customer needs
  • Follow agreed marketing plan to ensure communication of Gourmet Brands Marketing material and sales message to all end users.
  • Work with Account Manager to maximize sales by promoting the existing and introducing new products to distributor range in the regional area.
  • Organise joint Demonstration and training activity with major distributors
  • Participate in national exhibitions with other team members in support of Gourmet Brands
  • Participate at Monthly Gourmet Meeting at Banbury and defined training schemes



Qualifications & Experience



  • Excellent commercial acumen with proven sales experience within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Technical food experience as a chef, baker or chocolatier with a strong understanding of the end-user needs.
  • Proven experience in growing sales annually and developing new business opportunities.
  • Good Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to present and pitch new ideas to a customer incorporating personal flair and charisma.
  • Experience in marketing and social networking to further develop the brand and your area.
  • Proficient user of MS Office packages including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Experience using Salesforce would be useful, but experience with other systems would also be considered.
  • Valid full UK Driving Licence and the willingness to travel within your designated region and internationally for trade events and to meet with suppliers.
