An opportunity has become available for a part time cleaner in our new purpose-built Academy.


The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the Academy at the end of the courses each day. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter and will be involved with the Academy team but may also have some lone-working responsibilities.


This role is Monday – Friday, 3pm-9pm and additional working hours may be required. Some Saturday working may be required on an ad-hoc basis. 


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • To clean and maintain the high standards of the chocolate academy working alongside the full time technician
  • Adhere to demanding deep cleaning schedule
  • Nightly cleaning of all preparation areas
  • Rubbish management
  • Notify manager of any repairs required
  • Understand own responsibility for health and safety
  • Adhere to company rules
  • Understand the basic pest control as per training

Required skills:

  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties
  • Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Process, HACCP, COCCH, food health and safety, cleaning chemicals or the ability to be trained
  • Numerate, literate with good communication skills
  • Familiarity with material data sheets desirable
  • Good knowledge of correct manual handling of heavy equipment and machinery


Proven past experience as a cleaner is not essential as training will be given.
