About the role:

As an Account Manager, you will promote Barry Callebaut’s commercial relations and vision across Israel and Turkey. You will represent our value propositions, manage and acquire customers across both Industrial and Gourmet channels, and work closely with key business partners to achieve our strategic financial ambitions.
This role combines managing existing partnerships with actively hunting new opportunities, strengthening our market position through direct customer interaction and market intelligence. You will collaborate with local marketing and technical teams to build joint business plans and execute agreed action plans. Managing and guiding distribution partners is also a key part of this position.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in developing and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers, while supporting the activities of our agents and distributors.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships, gather insights and provide on‑site support to our distributor network.
  • Support distributors in implementing the action plan defined by the Sales / Country Director, ensuring alignment with overall business development goals.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service teams to track orders and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with production, marketing, QA, R&D, logistics, finance and other sales teams to ensure smooth execution of commitments.
  • Prepare timely, accurate and comprehensive reports summarizing business activities, customer insights and market developments.
  • Gather, analyze and share market intelligence to support strategic planning and continuously update market knowledge.
  • Advise internal teams on key marketing elements such as product mix, promotional activities, advertising, sales strategies and distribution channels.

 

About you:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and bring at least 5 years of experience in the food industry, with strong expertise in distributor management and export operations.
  • You are commercially driven, with a proven record of delivering sales growth, building customer portfolios and managing complex negotiations.
  • You excel at establishing and maintaining long‑term partnerships with customers, distributors and key stakeholders across diverse markets.
  • You are skilled in working independently, taking full ownership of your sales strategy, execution and results.
  • You thrive in multicultural environments and can confidently navigate business cultures in both Türkiye and Israel.
  • You have strong communication skills in French and English, allowing you to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • You combine a strategic mindset with hands‑on commercial execution, balancing long‑term planning with daily operational needs.
  • You are analytically oriented and use data to support decisions, optimize product mix, identify new opportunities and improve profitability.
  • You demonstrate a proactive, solution‑oriented and customer‑centric approach, always aiming to strengthen customer loyalty and market presence.
  • You ideally bring knowledge of the chocolate, confectionery or broader food manufacturing value chain.Experience in corporate accounts, B2B, HORECA or out‑of‑home channels is a strong advantage.
  • You are flexible, adaptable and open to frequent travel, with no travel restrictions.
