About the role:

As a Chef at the Barry Callebaut Chocolate Academy in Turkey, you will support the development and execution of our Gourmet vision by bringing creativity, technical expertise and passion for chocolate into everything we do.
You will play a key role in customer journeys, co‑creations, trainings, demonstrations and brand initiatives, while ensuring smooth day‑to‑day Academy operations. Working closely with the CA Head Chef and Marketing team, you will help inspire, educate and support our customers, partners and internal teams.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop original recipes using local and global Barry Callebaut brands to support Gourmet customers, Key Accounts and Chains.
  • Conduct R&D and application development for brand, segment and innovation initiatives.
  • Prepare special recipes supporting global innovations.
  • Execute photo shoots and content creation for brand and segment projects.
  • Support the Chocolate Academy mission of Inspiration, Education and Support.
  • Deliver and support courses, demonstrations, workshops and internal/external trainings.
  • Organize co‑creation and inspiration days for fine dining and gourmet customers.
  • Lead production execution for Academy events, trainings and demonstrations.
  • Oversee daily Chocolate Academy operations, including kitchen, storage, test kitchen, auditorium and other Academy areas.
  • Coordinate and supervise support staff such as interns, stewards and temporary workers.
  • Manage ordering, inventory and organization of ingredients, equipment and materials.
  • Support the organization of special events and social media campaigns in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager.

 

About you:

  • Degree in Culinary or Pastry Arts or minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong passion for chocolate, pastry and culinary innovation.
  • Proactive, autonomous and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with refined communication skills.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, including social media.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
