About the role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the facilitation of troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards of safety and quality. This position also improves maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes for the improvement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.

  • Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment.
  • Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise
  • Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and changeovers
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Keep the area, tools, and equipment in your care clean and tidy.
  • Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system.


About you:

  • A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, required
  • Food manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Vocational school, Industrial maintenance degree, technical college training, satisfactory completion of formal apprentice program, preferred
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams, and schematics, required
  • Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required
  • A High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances, required
  • A high degree of attention and care is required to prevent injury to others with responsibility for the flow of electrical power
  • Good organization, math, written and oral communication, detail orientated, interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, must work autonomously with a minimum of supervision.
