Under the direction of the Production Lead, the Operator II will be responsible to check the cleanliness and
proper functioning of your equipment, placing the parameters in equipment according to specifications and procedures for the preparation of chocolate.

  • Ensure cleanliness and optimum condition of the equipment before starting. Otherwise, notify the Leader.
  • Follow Lead direction to support department priorities and needs.
  • Ensure the packaging materials are in good condition.
  • Ensure that there are no differences between the material used and that requested to produce.
  • Correct setup of the boxes & Liners on the equipment.
  • Use the corresponding materials defined by the process order for the product, asking the leader of the shift which will be used.
  • Perform the tests to check the functioning of the Metal detector & Vision system at the beginning of the shift and in the established frequencies.
  • In case of having excess rejections according to the amount established, notify the leader of the shift, follow HACCP program and carry out corresponding actions.
  • Generate the bar code label every time a pallet is completed.
  • Revision of barcode label that is legible and that all the correct data are found.
  • Register storage unit number in corresponding format.
  • Remove the pallet from the palletizer to the wrapper once it has been completed.
  • Adjust the wrapper according to the type of box that is being used.
  • Set the weigh scale according to the product to be processed, and make the necessary adjustments in order to comply with the established weights.
  • Carry out the verification of the weight of the box in the established times and registering it in the corresponding format.
  • Perform visual inspection to ensure box closes entirely and no liner (bag) is outside the box.
  • Notify the shift leader whenever rework is generated in bulk bags for re-incorporation in remelter.
  • Support in cleaning nozzle plates, packaging lines, reworking, re-packaging.
  • Use of rework melter.
  • Support in coverage for all the Packaging lines (MIK01, MIK02, BUH01, BM001)
  • Notify the leader in charge of any anomaly that is outside the procedure.
  • Turn off equipment when they are not in operation.
  • Notify the leader in charge of any anomaly that is outside the procedure.
  • Respect the safety rules and take care of yourself and your colleagues respecting and following the safety procedures in force in the company.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Commit to fulfill the expectations of quality and service of the clients, as well as the current regulatory compliance applicable to the food industry.
  • Responsible for reporting any situation of potential or real danger to your superior and the Quality department.
  • Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy.
  • Firmly follow the GMP’s.

 

About you: 

 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum 2 years of production manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Good organization, math, written and oral communication, detail orientated, interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, must work autonomously with a minimum of supervision.
  • Good mechanical ability/aptitude.
  • Must be able to adhere to all GMP and food safety rules.
  • Experience driving forklift is a plus.
  • Detail & results oriented.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 Kg (50 Lbs)
