About the role:

Under the direction of the Production Lead, the Production Operator I will melt fats as required by the operation. Supply the raw material (powders, liquor, fats) required by each of the recipes. Ensure that the correct raw materials are ready to be consumed.

  • Ensure cleanliness and optimum condition of the equipment before starting. Otherwise, notify the Shift Leader.
  • Ensure that there are no differences between the material used and that requested to produce.
  • Carry out the melting of the fat following the schedule.
  • Fulfill the current daily target for your department.
  • Use the corresponding materials defined by the process order for the product, asking the leader of the shift which will be used.
  • Select the correct destination tank to transfer the material.
  • Monitoring temperatures of melters.
  • Check sugar levels in PLC at the beginning of the shift.
  • Dump materials (powders) according to recipe (Dairy, sweeteners, cocoa powder, etc.)
  • Re-fill the internal silos to fulfill requirements of the Liquid Lines.
  • Receive the raw materials that come in bags of 50Lbs or less from the warehouse.
  • Follow priorities set up by the Leader.
  • Use of rework melter.
  • Support in cleaning nozzle plates, packaging lines, reworking, re-packaging.
  • Notify the leader in charge of any anomaly that is outside the procedure.
  • Respect the safety rules and take care of yourself and your colleagues respecting and following the safety procedures in force in the company.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Commit to fulfill the expectations of quality and service of the clients, as well as the current regulatory compliance applicable to the food industry.
  • Responsible for reporting any situation of potential or real danger to your superior and the Quality department.
  • Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy.
  • Firmly follow the GMP’s

 

About you:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalency required.
  • Minimum 1 year of production manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Good organization, math, written and oral communication, detail orientated, interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, must work autonomously with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be able to adhere to all GMP and food safety rules.
  • Experience driving forklift is a plus.
  • Detail & results oriented.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 Kg (50 Lbs)
  • Ability to work in areas with temperatures of 100F-120F for the full shift.
  • Available for overtime when required and to work on the weekends.
