ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sustainability Program Manager will play a key role in the design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of the customers program(s) under his/her portfolio. You will collaborate with the Pillar Leads (Prospering Farmers, Thriving Nature and Community Development) to strengthen the quality of the program(s) as well as to enhance relationships with local customer representatives.

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, from monitoring and evaluation, traceability and farm mapping, to cooperative relationships, project development and partnership management. Emphasis would be placed on operational excellence and driving a high-performance attitude within the program's field team by organizing regular monitoring, follow-up and results review sessions with the team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDES

  • Design and write quarterly customers reports with good and accurate content and impactful success stories on program achievement
  • Steer the quarterly customers monthly and be the focal point to all customer related questions
  • Ensure customers key performance indicators will be achieved in due time with the right quality
  • Contribute to the improvement of global methodologies on customer sustainability activities
  • Ensure benchmarking with the competition and propose new activities to maintain a good level of the   system
  • Ensure the quality of the implementation of activities at field level
  • Develop and maintains effective working relationships with customers, cooperatives and relevant third parties involved in the program
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sustainability Program’s initiatives, policies, and programs, and recommends modifications as necessary to the management team and/or the customers when needed, recommending changes to close strategic gaps
  • Ensure all cooperatives conduct their audits on a yearly basis with top scores
  • Plan, organize, implement, attend and lead customers sustainability meeting, workshops, conference
  • Ensure customer visits to the field happened to show case program activities
  • Organize the team in managing all customers projects and programs in the country
  • Develop and maintain a performance management level for the field staff
  • Ensure timely payments of field team monthly and according to the performance system
  • Act as the key contact on sustainability business discussions, issues and projects with relevant customers

 

ABOUT YOU

 

  • Have a Bac +5 qualification in agronomy, social studies, business management or any other relevant field
  • Have a good level of English
  • Have a good experience in the field of cocoa farming
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in data management
  • Knowledge in data collection
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel
  • Experienced in working with or in the region is a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency in KPI reporting
  • Independence and quick learning ability, although able to find right stakeholders within environment to improve quality of solution
  • Project management experience
  • Coordination of teams
  • Experience in cocoa or other tropical commodities is a plus
  • Strong listening and analytical skills
