Regional Cocoa Traceability Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our traceability team and activities are growing incredibly fast, and it is becoming an important subject from a regulatory perspective and to reassure our clients on the fact that volume risks and reputational risks are controlled and mitigated.  This role will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the traceability activities. 

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDES

The Regional cocoa traceability coordinator will support the Global Cocoa traceability Operations manager in the following functions:

 

  • People performance & coordination
    • Supporting & guiding traceability teams to work autonomously in origins
    • Performance catalyst: building, coaching and empowering origins team and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
    • Empowerment communication management: train and support teams in the proactive production and communication of information required for origins

 

  • Traceability data collection
    • Support and monitor origin countries on operational roadmap definition and monitor progress against targets.
    • Support local teams in managing operational constraints to achieve targets
    • Support local teams for transaction registration
      • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the digitization of purchases in the bush via our registration system
      • Identify problems (system or field) and send them to the relevant departments for resolution
      • Ensure standardization, quality, and auditability.
      • Support global digital team to design User Reporting Interface with dashboard to support Suppliers and BC Sourcing Teams.
    • Organize the required trainings together with IM teams & local traceability coordinator

 

  • S&OP and Systems
    • Main point of contact for technical support & deployment
    • Coordinate the traceability SOP update  

 

  • Data modelling, KPI’s & reporting:
    • With the origin traceability coordinator, ensure the effectiveness of reporting systems for traceability (identify mismatches between systems, change KPIs according to internal/external needs.)
    • Produce and communicate presentations and analysis to meet auditing and management needs

 

  • Innovation
    • Oversee the deployment of new technologies (Group ERP, system upgrades, adaptation to national traceability systems) in order to anticipate and solve challenges for the sourcing, sustainability and traceability team.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Must speak both French and English (bilingual)
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Agronomy or geography
  • Complete mastery of Excel/PowerPoint
  • Experience in managing teams in different cultural environments.
  • Experience in database management and operational reporting.
  • Experience in GIS management and geographic data processing.
  • Experience in traveling in bush
  • Well versed in SQL/QGIS
  • Coordination of teams outside of reporting line with different agenda, background and expertise.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel/ Agile environments/ GIS.
  • Experience in working with or in African origins is a must
  • Strong analytical and critical skills to ensure excellence in data and consistency in KPI reporting
  • Experience with designing or working in sustainable KPI frameworks
  • Independence and quick learning ability
  • Ability to explain complex reporting processes to end users with strong coaching and training skills
  • Experience in cocoa or other tropical commodities is a real plus
  • Proactive in explaining challenges and implementing solutions
  • Solution minded
  • Willingness to create, develop, support and innovate
