About the Graduate Program:

 

Our 2 year international graduate program offers a global perspective to bright, young talents like yourself and is an exciting opportunity to deepen your expertise in an area that you are passionate about. The program starts every September and is launched in Barry Callebaut’s most strategic locations around the globe, where our Graduate’s expertise is valued and entrepreneurship fostered.

 

About the Opportunity:

 

We are offering you the opportunity to further develop your career within our Global Cocoa sourcing department.  Over the 2 year term you will have the opportunity to gain experience in Global Cocoa & Sourcing following 3 various sourcing approaches applied in the group. You will also gain significant international experience with the opportunity to undertake at least one rotation abroad.

 

Over the 3 rotations you will gain experience and actively contribute by:

 

  • Conducting sourcing activities in Ivory Coast
  • Developing quality parameters of beans and buying criteria
  • Working with cooperatives in the up country in farm locations
  • Conducting and supervising sustainability activities in Ghana
  • Liaising with local farm service team to support their activities
  • Conducting direct buying activities from farmers as per Nyonkopa (Ghana) buying model
  • Identifying customers' requirements including Internal Barry Callebaut factories as well as external customers

 

About You

 

  • Bilingual French/English
  • Commercial/trading mindset
  • Ideally studied economics
  • Ready to work in rural areas
  • Internationally mobile

 

NB: To qualify for our graduate program applicants must bring a minimum of a total of 18 months work experience and must hold a Bachelors Degree preferably complimented with a Masters Degree.
