About the role


The Finance department of Barry Callebaut is looking for a new Tax Analyst that will focus on all indirect taxes for the entire region of EMEA. You will be accountable for the collection of tax-related information used for accurate filing of VAT tax returns and Intrastat declarations in scope. Next to this, you will be challenged to set up reporting to taxation authorities in a timely manner and advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies.


Next to this, he/she will support in challenging financial projects such as the impact of the Brexit. To support in the strategic financial projects, you will be requested to travel up to 5%.


Key responsibilities include


  • Ensure timely regulatory filing, tax accounting/reconciliation
  • Proactive Indication of tax risks and mitigation strategies
  • Perform VAT reconciliations
  • Ensure full compliance with all VAT regulations for invoicing & ensure processes are VAT compliant
  • Providing ad-hoc VAT advice to Finance


About you


  • Bachelor in accounting/finance
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the field of indirect tax
  • In-depth VAT knowledge or at least the eagerness to become the expert!
  • Knowledge of controlling and financial methodologies and reporting
  • SAP experience is a nice to have
