ABOUT THE ROLE

The position will be a key member of the Sourcing Team and will be responsible for Identify, research, evaluate and select suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. You will be responsible for handling the factories end to end sourcing operations. The main responsibility is to follow close commodities market capturing opportunities and negotiate agreements with the suppliers of raw materials while assuming the responsibility of supply and profitability. The mandate is to propose and to implant strategies of purchasing to minimize costs and increase margin; you also will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities. Furthermore, creating and maintaining certain master files in SAP is associated with this role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

§Responsible for raw material procurement spend Brazil and Chile plants;
§Define procurement strategies;
§Negotiate contracts considering the best TCO aiming the cost reduction and ensuring supply;
§Conduct routine analysis for costs and benefits and contribute to continual process improvement;
§Act as business partner helping to define & update raw material pricing, commercial support on raw material market analysis, and supporting R&D development work;
§Act as link between Local Planning and Global Sourcing;
§Create and monitor trough global quality system material and supplier approvals process;
§Project management for raw materials cost reduction, portfolio rationalization and BCP;
§Participate in monthly meetings communicating commodity markets and results to Local Management Team;

 

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor degree (Business, Economics or Engineering);

Understand the local tax structure and how this impacts our business;

Proven experience in sourcing ingredients in the food industry;

Experience in agricultural commodity businesses and risk management (price and forex);

Strategic business objectives and procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies by category;

Advanced English /Advanced Spanish will be considered as nice to have;

String knowledge of Excel (formulas and pivot tables)

Experience utilizing SAP MM Modules
