Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the coordination of scheduling outbound liquids with Central Transportation; as well as the maintenance of carrier non conformances.  This also includes the posting of orders and the verification of charges for orders via TMS.


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate ship dates and times for outbound orders with Central Transportation including changes
  • Process Delivery Notes and relevant associated paperwork
  • Process and execute change requests
  • Schedule loads in accordance with customer specifications and off load capabilities
  • Maintain and track all approved food grade wash stations
  • Approve and track all demurrage charges (detention, pre-load, layover, terminal fees, out of route mileage, etc.)
  • Review SAP liquid shipping schedule to ensure on time material availability for loading
  • Post Goods Issue
  • Maintain Hershey EDI Process
  • Picking process for unitized warehouse materials
  • Process Returns as related to Logistics
  • Review and order packaging materials utilizing MRP
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures as related to Logistics (enforcement & participation in audits)
  • Cross-trained to cover other Coordinator positions as needed
  • Filing
  • Projects/goals as assigned via Manager                      
  • Maintain updated work instructions manual

  • Works within all regulatory requirements
  • Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements
  • Perform all other related duties as required


Job Requirement:

  • Computer experience (Windows, Lotus Notes)
  • SAP experience
  • Microsoft Office experience (Access, Word, Excel)
  • Good oral & written communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Detail & results oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to work with deadlines
