About the Job
Within the overall business and corporate QA strategies, to organize, direct, co-ordinate and control all quality assurance activities on site to support the achievement of business objectives.
Key responsibilities include
Safety/Security/Hygiene
• Supervise the implementation and maintenance of all Food safety and hygiene procedures in accordance with company policies and standards.
• To monitor factory GMP and ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken.
Food Safety and Quality System Management – System Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all ISO, HACCP, GFSI (FSSC), HALAL and other relevant standards, including customer/external audit requirements;
• Prepare and complete internal, second and third party audits;
• Build up good relationship with local authorities and assure full compliance with national and international quality/food safety related legislation;
• Support and coordinate with the Regional and Global Quality team for quality improvement projects, e.g. global ring tests, development and revision of quality standards, etc.
Food Safety and Quality System Management - Measurements and Testing
• Oversees the accuracy and timely completion of all quality measurements, records and reports;
• Maintain measurement database integrity.
Food Safety and Quality System Management - Documentation
• Controls and reports all non-conformances according to documented procedures;
• Ensures completion of all customer required testing.
Food Safety and Quality System Management - Customer Relationship Management regarding Quality issues
• Works with all stakeholders including Product Development, Production, Commercial teams and customers to determine optimized processes to meet customer requirements;
• Assist on periodic customer visits where needed;
• Coordinate customer complaint process;
• Complete survey and questionnaire and answer technical questions from customers.
Food Safety and Quality System Management – Supplier Management
• Audit suppliers and sub-contractors per requirement;
• Closely work with Purchasing/Sourcing on new suppliers development;
Manage the team
• Ensure all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures;
• Provide training and supervision to all personnel in quality testing;
• Guide, coach, train and develop QA team members.
About You
• Bachelor or Master Degree in any related field preferably in food-related discipline such as food science, microbiology, chemistry or food industry management.
• At least 10 years working experience with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in quality management position in MNC.
• Experience managing quality department in FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Well versed in SAP environment.
• Customer service oriented with positive service mindset
• Strong communication, proactive, and collaborative skill
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large datasets.
• Ability to work independently with a sense of business acumen capable of presenting logical and well-structured proposals.
• Strong leadership and organizational skill.
• Strong people management skill.
• Be able to work in a cooperative, collegial environment across numerous business disciplines and diverse needs of various business units.
• Proficient in English.
