About the role

  • Manage and continually improve planning, logistics, warehouse, and shipping functions within the Supply Chain Department with the aim of ensuring optimum resource utilization to meet production, inventory, and customer service needs at an agreed cost. Drive department performance to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • The Supply Chain Manager is also committed to our Food Safety and Regulatory requirement within the organization

 

Key responsibilities include

  • Safety/Security/Hygiene: Supervise the implementation and maintenance of all safety, health, and environmental procedures in accordance with company policies and standards.
  • Quality: Cooperate with QA to implement and maintain the quality system /HACCP, ISO (including FIFO, FEFO, Traceability, Labelling, etc.); To have ownership and implement the related requirements of food safety and quality systems in this position
  • Quality: Lead and work with QA, Customer Service to treat service complaints where there is through effective investigation and justification and take action plans.
  • Productivity: Set up, monitor, and control the operational and inventory goals and establish KPIs system that meets the management requirement and align to the business objectives (Planning, Warehousing, Shipping, Import & Export) on a weekly/monthly basis;
  • Cost: Prepare, monitor, and control departmental expense budget, Optimize obsolete stock and RM waste.
  • Productivity: Work with purchasing on service vendors bidding to drive down the cost while improving the service level.
  • People Management:
    • Ensure compliance with factory employee relationship policies and guidelines;
    • Manage the team ensuring staff is motivated, trained, and ready to achieve objectives, in a positive social climate.
    • Develop management talents necessary to achieve short and long-range objectives by effective direction, coaching, and training according to an overall manpower planning;
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop best practices and optimize working process/WI within the supply chain. Play a key role in supporting all company projects where needed.
  • Internal stakeholders
    • Production: RM/PM availability to meet production demand
    • Customer Service: Discuss and negotiate delivery schedule if changes happen in production/quality issue, on customer issue
    • QA: Discuss whenever quality matter arises
    • Finance: Budgeting and monthly cost review, stock counting report reconciliation. MUV report creation
    • HR: Training, recruitment, staff welfare, and complaint
    • Project: End-to-end SC related activities
    • Purchasing: PR submission on RM/PM and consumable goods
    • Pricing: Logistics cost quotation and verification, ad hoc product costing and quotation
    • Sales: Gathering demand from the sales team to how to control customer needs
    • Regional OSCO
    • Prepare monthly & weekly supply chain KPI review, Plant performance, budget & supply chain cost review
    • SC projects are driven by the regional, global team
  • External stakeholders
    • Forwarding Agents: Coordinate on all import and export shipments
    • Warehousing agent: Coordinate in house warehousing with the agency
    • Transporters: To book for local transportation
    • Customers: Work with CS to coordinate customer for supplying
    • Government Authorities: For import and export declaration.

 

About you

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain related fields;
  • English communication skill
  • Experience in managing Planning, Logistics, and Warehousing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Inventory control and MRP exposure by SAP will be an advantage
  • Above 10 years working experience and 4-5 years relevant experience in leading supply chain/ logistic position in a global or big local company.
  • Customer service oriented with a positive service mindset
  • Strong communication skills, proactive, collaborative, and consensus-driven
  • Strong analytical skills, capable to analyze large datasets
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of business acumen capable of presenting logical and well-structured proposals
  • Strong leadership and organizational ability to enable management of a diverse team
  • Can work in a cooperative, collegial environment across numerous business disciplines and diverse needs of various business units
  • Willing to work long hours, be energetic, enthusiastic, and have the capacity to apply extra effort when the occasions demand.
