About the role

The Solid Supply Planner is responsible for the operational solid planning of solid chocolate and cocoa powder at Global level.

Due to recent changes in the team we are looking for a new colleague for our site in Halle, Wieze or Lokeren.


Key responsibilities include

  • Manage the production plan for the operational horizon based on the demand plan (customer demand, dependent requirements) (combination of forecast, contracts and orders) and industrial constraints and capabilities (capacity, batch size, etc.) and inventory targets
  • Reflect tactical decisions in the operational plan
  • Collaborate with transfer team to solve unbalances between operation plan and demand (punctual for powder)
  • Collaborate with other planners (Choco liquid, Liquor liquid, subco, raw material, Availability/ARP, solid, demand, Inventory, etc.) to ensure the consistency and feasibility of plans and to solve operational supply issues
  • Collaborate with plants to adjust capacities/capabilities on the operational horizon
    •  Drive plants on adherence to agreed calendars and shift regimes (in accordance to the tactical plan decisions) and reflect agreed changes within supply plan
    • Challenge plants on their performance - Adherence to plan, Rates, OEEs - and reflect agreed parameters within supply plan
  • Communicate the production plan to plants (handover to schedulers)
  • Follow-up scheduling and execution, make sure the production plan is respected and agree on action plans in case of gaps
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support decision making when several options are identified
  • Manage phase-in / phase-out on the operational horizon
  • Maintain master data needed for operational planning (scope to be defined)
  • Setup/model changes to capacity (e.g. new line) based on input from OSCO Strategic Projects
  • Build reports and follow KPIs on availability, stock level and production rates
  • Implement best practices and be involved in the continuous improvement initiatives


About you

  • You obtained a Bachelor/Master Degree in Logistics/Transport
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar (operational planning) position.
  • An APICS certification is an asset for this position
  • As a person you are result-driven, proactive, perseverant and passionate about driving changes in order to become more effcient.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of any other local languages is a plus.
