About the role

Reporting to the HR Director BeNe, The HR Business Partner OSCO ( Operations and Supply Chain) in Wieze is a member of the plant management team and he/she provides the overall linkage between the people-related needs in the plant and the development and delivery of the regional/global HR policies and programs. 
The HR Business Partner OSCO supports the business leaders in all people-related processes and activities, ensuring the correct application of legislation. The incumbent works closely together with the business leaders and/or line managers to achieve shared organizational objectives, in particular implementing people solutions that support strategic business goals. He/she will be responsible for building a strong employee relations strategy, and for coordinating with trade unions in an effective way.

Key responsibilities include

  • HR Strategy: you translate the national Human Resources strategy into local plans, and you drive the implementation in your area of responsibility. You also actively participate in setting the local business strategy.
  • Employee relations: you act as a local HR point of contact by helping colleagues and managers answer questions and daily challenges related to employees.
  • Talent & Performance management: you advise and coach your business on people management processes (performance management, engagement, personal development) to ensure effective employer- employee relations. Together with the managers, you ensure that the right career, development and succession plans are foreseen.  You act as a coach for the business with the aim of optimizing their leadership behavior and successfully manage their people teams.
  • Change management: you act as an advocate for optimization in the execution of HR policies and you focus on operational excellence in both the business and HR topics. As a Change partner, you analyze together with the business the need for change within your scope and its impact on the organization and the steps to be taken from a labor relations perspective. You then define the action plan and develop the communication plan, and you guide the managers in the way they should handle this. Together with the business, you guide the redeployment process and monitor the progress of the implementation.
  • Organization design: you work closely with the business to understand the current organizational structure and roles. You act as challenger, advisor and sparring partner to strive for the ideal structure, roles & responsibilities to improve organization capabilities. 
  • Labor relations: Implement a labor relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with colleagues and ensures that all areas of the unit adhere to labor relations principles and comply with local policies, procedures and laws.


About you


  • 10+ years of experience as HR Manager and/or HR Business Partner (employee engagement, talent management, change management and organizational design, communication, performance management, unions, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Belgium legislation and proven track record in coordination of union and employee relations.
  • Experience in working in/with a production (blue collar) environment
  • Ability to co-create and implement local HR procedures and practices compliant with the local requirements paired with strong forward thinking and acting.
  • Well-developed convincing and communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to co-drive culture, engagement and employee development
  • Integer and trustworthy
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, a strong knowledge of French is an asset
  • The role is based in Wieze
