About the Role


Barry Callebaut is outsourcing the Global Datacenter, Global WAN and Global IT/OT Security Services to 3 strategic and global suppliers. For the Job of “Global Hybrid Datacenter Services Manager” we are looking for a person to lead the governance towards our strategic supplier for Datacenter Services with focus on optimizing 24/7 Service (SLA performance) and TCO (cost). This Manager is also leading the (small) internal Global Datacenter team, that has a focus on “governance”. He/she is reporting to the Global IT WAN and Data Center Manager. Barry Callebaut applies a clear cloud first strategy, adopting SaaS applications whenever possible. Our outsourced global Hybrid Datacenter environment is a “Platform as a Service” environment (PaaS), where all on-premise global applications (SAP, Maximo, SAP BO Finance, etc…) are running with one single Service Level Agreement, spread across On-premise Hyper converged data center solutions (for Global and Local in-factory Datacenters) and Public cloud data centers (MS Azure, GCP, AWS), leveraging strict SLA’s to our business. Our hybrid global Datacenter solution can be considered “leading edge”. For this Job, you bring experience in managing global strategic suppliers and SLA’s for Hybrid Datacenter services, related to on-premise private cloud services, advanced public cloud services, technical application (SAP) services, local data center services (for MES).


Key Responsibilities Include



You’ll be managing and developing a small internal team spread across multiple regions, based on which you deliver hybrid global data center services in Public Cloud, Share Private Cloud, Local Data Center environments, making use of strategic Global partners to meet the 24 by 7 business SLA’s. You understand the terms of our Datacenter contract with respect to Service and Cost and manage and govern the services on a daily basis. You monthly formally follow-up on Service KPI’s (SLA’s) with the strategic supplier and report out to Management peers. You ensure daily follow-up and escalation on service Incidents (24 by 7), towards suppliers and towards Internal Management and the Barry Callebaut business, and you ensure follow-through on RCA (Root Cause Analysis), the basis for continuous service and cost improvement. You continuously improve the Datacenter and Technical Application services, working closely together with the IM application project teams. You assist in further building our 24 hour internal governance organization towards Datacenter providers according a “follow-the-sun” principle (Asia Pacific => Europe => Americas) for local, global and public data center services. Based on the overall Information Management masterplan, you will be closely involved in Project Delivery work, liaising between the internal IM Applications Project managers, external consultants and the strategic Global Data Center supplier. In your role you will be responsible to translate the business and application requirements into a technical design, define the scope, timelines, including the overall cost overview. In your role you bring in added value expertise on Public Cloud (MS Azure, GCP,…) services, together with SAP (ECC + Hana) experience. You will play a key role in the integration of OT (operational production IT systems) services within the existing IT governance model, mainly for local data center services. Global Hybrid Datacenter Services Manager An important part of the role is to create and manage the yearly budgets, both for investment as for operational costs to be kept in line with financial business goals. Through focus on innovation and continuous learning, you keep the entire solution leading edge, by implementing added value services for the business.


About You


● Master Degree, and 10+ years in an IT Infrastructure Service role, or the appropriate combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Global IT Services in a 24/7 timespan for a Global Datacenter, with relevant Public Cloud experience

● Must have a strong Service oriented background based on a broad IT Infrastructure interest: Service Level Agreement and TCO/cost management

● Must have good experience in KPI and SLA monitoring and reporting, chasing third party suppliers to meet the agreed set of goals

● Must have a significant experience in running Global applications, with main focus on SAP solutions, preferably including HANA experience

● Must have an interest and experience to leverage and integrate local OT services within a Global IT framework Personal Skills

● must be independent and committed to deliver end-to-end with a very broad interest in IT

● must be mature, leading by example, but above all fit in a mostly governance role (eg realize SLA’s) in a Global 24 by 7 business context

● must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills including experience in organizing, planning, and overseeing the work of larger outsourcing agreements

● must have experience in Global IT Project management and Project Portfolio management with his team

● must have experience in managing a team of senior system experts across different regions

● must have strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills

● must have a financial interest in creating, maintaining and reporting budgets

● must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of the global IT team and management Technical skills

● Active experience with SaaS / PaaS / IaaS services

● Public Cloud experience (mainly MS Azure and Google Cloud Platform)

● SAP basis (Hana and Oracle) experience

● MES/smart factories experience, covering engineering and OT integration items would be nice to have

● IT Storage solutions

● Data Center Network expertise

● Windows and Global Active Directory

● Good Windows Server understanding

● Good Linux understanding
