Spain is looking for a temporary Lab Technician (From October to December 2021 and/or July to September 2022) who will conduct daily in-process quality control checking as well as the physical and chemical analysis of incoming/outgoing materials and finished goods samples. This role has either an emphasis on  analytical or microbiological aspects. The incumbent organizes, updates, analysis and reports the results in  both written and verbal form to the QA Lab Manager and other QA team members.

The LT would perform his/her during the afternoon shift. 

 

Which would be your tasks?

Carrying out in-process and finished goods sampling in / out the premises for analysis. Informing and liaising with  production on the quality status during the process control analysis.

Preparation of chemical or samples  standards, solutions for analysis. Assisting in samples preparation of daily sensory evaluation.

Calibrating and Maintaining laboratory analytical instruments when required.  

Maintaining good house keeping and to ensure good safety in the working area. Assisting in preparing COA/COC for  product delivered to customers. Updating product status in the warehouse with the appropriate stickers.  Maintaining and keep track on the physical and chemical inventories in the laboratory. Carrying out inspection on  packaging and secondary raw materials. Assisting in other QA activities (microbiology and beans) when  necessary

 

 

What we are looking for in a candidate?

 

- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry (analytical preferred), Microbiology or Food  Science  

- 2+ years of experience in advanced analytical techniques  Solid knowledge of analytical laboratory equipment and procedures  (HPLC, gas chromatography, IR analysis, solvent extraction techniques &  other standard chemical analysis)  

- Experience in Project Management  

- Knowledgable in MS Office Suite  

- English - Intermediate
