SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Summary:

Under the management of the Plant Manager, the Senior Planner will be responsible for the movement of goods from the procurement of the raw materials to the execution of the orders to our customers. The Senior Planner will ensure that all Supply Chain activities are executed to meet the needs of the plant and customer. This position is based in our plant. 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Essential Functions:

  • Leads and participates in operations/site project teams as required.
  • Develops, tracks and publishes weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators.
  • Works closely with all plant personnel.
  • Participate in operations/site projects.
  • Recommends/coordinates overtime with production as needed.
  • Monitor local planning KPI’s and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Provide necessary reports and updates as needed.
  • Problem-solving as needed
  • Attend and participate in all local management meetings.
  • Associates degree or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of relevant manufacturing experience in a food environment.
  • Excel, SAP and MRP experience as well as proven math skills.
  • Teamwork and Cooperation- be part of a team, working together seeking ideas and opinions for planning and decision-making.
  • Flexibility/Initiative – the ability to adapt and work effectively in a variety of situations; take action before being required to do so.

  • Responsible to ensure the daily schedule is updated to meet the needs of the business.
  • Assures the processes of the replenishment and return of material related to supplier quality issues are met and followed.
  • Responsible to ensure supplier delivery, reliability and quantity compliance; addresses various issues as they occur.
  • Recognize and communicates timely when issues at the plant will impact customer orders.
  • Communicates all future material requirements with suppliers utilizing MRP.
  • Ensures that production scheduling is in line with customer requirements.
  • Manages MRP recommendations of finish goods products and ensures that production scheduling optimizes the utilization of the production equipment.
  • Works closely with Central Planning in resolving scheduling issues.
  • Ensures that all production lines are optimized to avoid downtime.
  • Works with the other factories to share recipes/customers as needed to keep lines full.
  • Ensures the factory is supported 7 days per week with the help of the planner and plant manager.
  • Support the site planner to ensure all aspects of the planning processes are met, to include but not limited to:
  • Ensuring all aspects of the Third-party shipping processes are completely executed in SAP and TMS.
  • Ensure the WF Weekly billing and reconciliation process is complete.
  • Ensure that all scheduled Supplier deliveries arrive on time and in full.
  • Outside warehouse support.
  • Support the warehouse with counts and identify space constraints.
