The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for the management, reporting, data entry, and control of all freight-related invoices for North America.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manages all aspects of billing relationships with vendors and carriers; recommends and implements process improvements
- Oversees the expansion/implementation of transportation management software tools (TMS) and data maintenance
- Manages the Accounts Payable Clerk handling day-to-day invoices processing.
- Investigates and resolves problems associated with the processing of invoices.
- Communicate with plants and transport planners to confirm transportation charges
- Responsible for monthly closing of financial documents, freight accruals, etc.
- Assist with any external audit request
- Participates in special projects as needed
About you:
- College degree with courses in Accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a Supply Chain/Operations function in a manufacturing environment
- TMS and SAP experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Sense of urgency and initiative
