Our position of Gourmet Sales Sales Director SEE, based in Belgrade

Gourmet Sales Director SEE is accountable for all volume/margins in the country and maintains/develops sales volume and increases margin with the defined national customer base. The incumbent is the main point of contact of Gourmet Business within BC for specified customers and to take full responsibility for managing / coordinating all business interactions/ transactions in a professional manner. Proactively prospects for additional opportunities outside the existing customer base. S/he acts as the ‘customers’ voice within BC to ensure customer satisfaction and continuity of trading relationships.


Description of Tasks:

  • Effectively managing and leading the Country Sales teams in SEE
  • Ensuring efficient distributor is set-up in each country, to supply, sell and promote Barry Callebaut portfolio and brands
  • Understanding customer market, capability & position in order to create a business development plan per customer to drive growth.
  • Organizing product launches, organizations,  seminars, and other product and  trading marketing activities
  • Developing a strategic plan for the country/sub regions and be accountable for the execution of it in order to increase volume, margin and lock in business to BC.
  • Understanding competitive threat within customer in order to drive sound decision making.
  • Developing positive working relationships with key stakeholders on customers side including, buying, technical, NPD and supply chain departments and recognizing key decision makers.
  • Negotiating with customer to get favorable outcome for BC in terms of volume, margin or other business metrics.
  • Proactive contract management to ensure neat portfolio at all times.
  • Working in conjunction with Demand Planning to ensure accurate volume / financial forecasts for the business.
  • Being responsible for taking new product concepts to the customer in conjunction with relevant marketing / application information and seeking new project opportunities.
  • Developing a strong network of contacts within BC - Customer Care, Marketing, Sourcing, Finance and Supply Chain - in order to support day to day business and preventing issues for the customer.
  • Being able to articulate and comment on all major raw material markets at any time and be competent in recommending purchasing strategies to the customer.
  • Being capable of drawing up partnership documentation and moving customers towards longer term formal relationships.
  • Constructing complicated deals and rebates, understanding the impact of margin / volume forecasts - in conjunction with Commercial Analyst.

Your profile:

  • Master Degree Economics/Finance or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in a food industry
  • Vast leadership experience
  • Proven track record of sales success and in distributor management
  • Specific business understanding & market know-how of food industry 
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Fluent in English both written and oral
  • Native in Serbian
